Journal 16: Confucius Quote

"Find a job that you love doing and you will never have to work a day in your life." - Confucius

I think this qoute means that if you truely enjoy the work, you do not even feel it is work that you should do, not feeling burden from the duty. And you are doing that job not because you have to do the job for living, but it is the meaning and goal of your life.

I am definitely agree with this quote. To me playing piano and listening to music is what Confucius said. When I playing the piano, it makes me to forget about my little anxiety and my duties of other works and release stressed which I get from from daily lives. Futhermore I feel the composer's emotions and rationality. The feeling of connected with people who lived hundreds years ago is really amazing thing. Sometimes, Although I feel stressed and used to get stressed too much in my middle and high school days, but as getting older, I am getting into the music and loving in it from my deep heart. Now I am enjoying the sounds that I creat with piano and thinking and finding the meaning of the sounds is such a delight.

So, now learning music and playing the piano is magic job to me.

I read Yoojin's blog.

Journal 15: Anticipating Your Parents' Objection

Dear mom and dad

It is true that Americans are more likely to divorce compare to Asian. However, this statistics are not really true in real. The reason that the rate is higher than other countries is that the people who are already divorced tend to divorce more times. But there are also many people who never divorced and live together happily.

Also, we have dated for five years, so we know each other very well, he always respects me and gives lots of support for my life. Since I think we really fit together and he have became a big part of my life, it is hard to imagin to live without him.

Journal 11: Research Question

I found the group piano lesson on the wikipedia, but it did not show anything. I guess this is becuase it is too narrow. I am interested in the piano pedogogy, especially in comparing and contrasting about group piano lesson and private one. I am not familiar with the group lesson but much familiar with private lesson which is more traditional and common.

What I know about this topic is that comparing to old traditional private lesson, the group piano lesson has short history and there are still lots of discussions about comparing these two things, such as which one can bring the most effective results.

Thus, I will do some research on group lesson, like making plan about lesson, and grouping the students, how to manage effectively the whole class, and what are some benefits of group lesson.

I read Dennis' and Yoojin's
